Email Marketing Specialist
We are actively seeking an Email Marketing Specialist for a full-time, onsite position with a global leader in the industrial products space. The Email Marketing Specialist will assume responsibility for developing and executing the testing and audience strategies that enhance messaging relevancy, thereby improving existing and prospective customers’ experience and the performance. This individual will play a critical role in establishing key elements of the email marketing roadmap in outlining plans to upgrade tools, technologies and processes. Email Marketing Specialist Responsibilities:
• Providing QA support to Specialist to ensure accuracy of email functionality, rendering and tracking.
• Executing email data integrity exercises including email verification of new lists and managing soft bounces.
• Providing support of the transactional (triggered) email campaigns including new projects that require working with a 3rd party.
• Maintaining a strong working relationship with key members of the Marketing team to most strategically execute the email component of omnichannel campaigns, including agreement on objectives, audiences and messaging.
• Maintaining a strong working relationship with the Digital Project Managers and Digital Creative team to work collectively toward deadlines and resolve edits and issues in a timely manner.
• Coaching and mentoring junior-level staff and interns.
• Ensuring successful ESP configuration and consider adaptation of all product releases.
• Documenting, training and communicating tool capabilities, internal processes and standard operating procedures.
• Staying up to date on CAN-SPAM/GDPR laws.
Email Marketing Specialist Requirements:
• BS Degree in Marketing, Communications, Computer Science or a related discipline.
• 3-5 years of professional experience, preferably within a large, matrixed organization.
• Working knowledge of Email Marketing best practices, the ability to identify current industry trends and speak to email best practices regarding deliverability, user experience, US CAN-SPAM requirements.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience actively working within Responsys or 3 years’ experience in another email platform tool.
• Proficient knowledge of HTML processing, CSS, Responsys AmpScript, and JavaScript preferred.
• Working knowledge of advanced AND/OR logic and database querying such as SQL.
• Knowledge of data flow concepts and strong data analysis skills required.
• Understanding of File Transfer Protocols and web design concepts.
• Experience using Adobe Analytics.
• Experience pulling metrics & providing regular reporting as necessary.
